Elizabeth Newman may be best known as the creator of memorable events in Halifax! Elizabeth has been having fun at the RCR Hospitality Group for the last 26 years as the VP of Sales & Marketing. Her strength is her ability to build long-term relationships through client and corporate partnerships. Her associates and friends know her as a mentor and someone who is always willing to share her time and opinions as a committed leader.
Elizabeth gives back to numerous community advisory groups for causes that are dear to her heart, and a number of industry groups. Elizabeth currently is a Board Director for the Canadian Cancer Society and the Healthy Tomorrow Foundation. She is also past Board Director of Discover Halifax, Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, Abilities Foundation of Nova Scotia and the Past President Halifax Harbourside Rotary Club. Her most rewarding volunteer work is with her dog Korey in the St. John’s Ambulance Therapy Dog program.
Elizabeth has also been the recipient of Paul Harris Fellow presented by the Rotary Foundation and Barbara Broome Legacy Award presented by Atlantic Canada Chapter of Meetings Professional International
